Cesta za snem Heřmana Volfa
Česká abilympijská asociace, o.s. (CAA), která se už od roku 1997 stará o vylepšení kvality života postižených občanů, připravila na středu 19. Října 2011od 19 hodin setkání s neprofesionálním handicapovaným sportovcem Heřmanem Volfem. Ten podniká již třetím rokem velké cesty po Evropě na speciálně upraveném kole. V roce 2009 jen za pomoci svých paží došlapal pod pařížský Vítězný oblouk, rok na to vyrazil na Československou cestu a letos v létě dovezl papeži do Říma poselství českých vozíčkářů. Projekt „Cesta za snem“ má za sebou již 3680 zdolaných kilometrů.
„Čtvrtý den na cestě. Prší, fouká silný protivítr. Povrch cesty není dobrý, střídá se asfalt a štěrk. Poprvé jsem píchl hned ráno, pár kilometrů na to přišel druhý defekt. Jsme v německém městečku Marktl, dostali jsme se na kopec a teď sjíždíme dolů. Ale něco není v pořádku. Cítím, že handbike nejede jak má. Vítr fičí a kapky deště mě bičují do tváře. Volám na tátu: „Nemám defekt?“ Nechápavě kroutí hlavou. „Nemám zase defekt? Nějak mi to nejede!“ Táta se dostává za mě a kontroluje pneumatiky. „V pořádku!“ Jsme téměř dole. Pod kopcem silnice uhýbá ostře doprava. Jdu na brzdy a zatáčím naplno vpravo. Kolo sebou několikrát rychle cukne, levá strana handbiku se zvedá do vzduchu a mě je jasné, že tohle nemůže skončit dobře. Ve vteřině ležím na pravém boku a rukou drhnu o asfalt. Nemůžu dělat nic, než čekat, dokud se tříkolka nezastaví. Konečně. Jsem vzhůru nohama, sleduju kamínky na silnici a kapky jak rytmicky dopadají jedna za druhou. Pak slyším hlasy. „Jsi v pořádku?“ Táta a Mejla mě vrací zpátky na kola. Z pravé ruky mi crčí krev. Mohlo to být horší. Začíná mi docházet, co se stalo. Tak přece jen jsem měl defekt! Z levé zadní pneumatiky unikal vzduch. Když jsem dole pod kopcem zatočil doprava, pneumatika sjela z ráfku a kolo se kouslo. Ještě nikdy jsem se na handbiku nepřevrátil. Byl to můj první křest ohněm. Kolo je naštěstí v pořádku. Ruka se zahojí. Nasazujeme novou galusku a jedeme dál…“
